What a year!! This year was full of many changes, lots of love, some gorgeous weddings, several awesome portrait sessions and so much more! I am so blessed to live such an amazing life! I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of my awesome clients, family and friends, I wouldn’t be where I am nor would I be able to do what I love if it weren’t for you all!! Thank you!!! 🙂
One of the biggest changes we had this year is we welcomed our first daughter Violet into our family on Feb 7th. She has became the light of our lives and is such a joy! I love her oh so much and can’t imagine my life without her now! So much has happened with her this past year I can’t believe how fast time is going and how quickly she is growing! We brought her home a 5lb 10oz cute tiny thing and now she weighs 15lb 3oz! She has officially tripled her size but ironically enough she’s still wearing 3 month onsies!!! Ha!! That has actually been really nice as she has gotten to wear clothes for much longer than most babies!
With having Violet I decided to work only part time in 2013 and I am so glad I did that! It gave me so much time with her and allowed me to fully take care of her and not have to invest in child care. Except of course for the occassional date night!! Dominic has been such an amazing father I am so proud!! Violet and I sure are some lucky ladies!!
I have to admit though I have very much missed my weddings!!! Granted I did do 7 last year but that’s not much compared to my normal 20! I am very excited to get back to being busy! My aim is to do 15 – 20 weddings per year from 2014 on. I feel like that’s a great number for my clients, my business and my life.
I’ve been working on my goals and plans for my company and there will be some changes in the coming years. I am hoping to get a dedicated Studio and Workspace outside of my home!!! As some of you may know this past year I fell in love with Newborn Portraits!! But let me tell you it is quite the job to cart my car full of items needed for such a session! I would just LOVE to be able to have a studio dedicated to that and other small portraits. I am really hoping to blog more!! I am not much of a writer but I am working to get past that and share more of what’s in my head!! I’ve been toying with the idea of offering 1:1 mentoring as well as small workshops and will keep you posted on the happenings of that.
Anyhow I took some time (lots actually 🙂 ) to go through and select some of my favorite images and moments from last year. Enjoy!! 🙂
