Summer has grown!

Wow! My little cousin Summer has grown!! I have had the pleasure of photographing her since she was born and what a treasure she is!! For this session we went to Grandma’s house, played outside, played on the table, jumped on the bed, some of the things you don’t normally get to do at Grandma’s house:) What a blast it was!

Children are not my specialty but I very much enjoy photographing them! Here are my favorites, enjoy!

Is she not just the cutest thing you have ever seen!?!?!? Such a sweet little girl!!

Frogs are a thing with my family. So of course we had to kiss the frog in the yard:)

Summer just turned 2 and loves telling you about it!

Ha! I asked her to look for the horses and this is what we got! How cute is that?!

Summer knows exactly what each animal does. So here I asked her what sound do horses make and she showed me!

The Grandchildren…..

Oh how I so look forward to having my own brood of grandchildren! Oh yes I know I have many years to wait but I can still be excited about it! I suppose part of that comes from having 3 of the best grandmas in the whole world!

Here are four of the cutest grandkids ever! Linda (their grandma) commissioned me to do a session with her grandchildren. She was adament on having no posed shots, strictly candid, which I normally do a bit of both, so needless to say when I did try to pose these kiddos they didn’t like it much! But I sure got some cute expressions out of them! Doing a session of this nature was sooo much fun and it was a great learning experience too! I can’t wait for my next set of kiddos!

Poor thing, the day before she fell and hit her knose so bad she had to go to the ER! Luckily she is obviously ok and I was able to clean her scuffs:)

I wasn’t wanting a grumpy face for this shot but I kept my mouth shut and ended up with a stellar shot!

When posing children one must make do:) I thoght I made do very well with this one!

He is a Knitter, totally loves it, so of course we had to capture that!

Little Molly

Sarah Daley and her family live here in the “Land of Love” and invited me into their home one afternoon to photograph their little one Molly. We had to reschedule several times because poor Molly kept getting sick with an ear infection. It was definetly worth the wait though as we captured some awesome shots! When Iam photographing children around this age I much prefer to go to my clients homes as the children are so much more comfortable in their own environment rather than my tiny studio. So without further adew……..here are my favorites from the day……enjoy! Isn’t she just the cutest little one you have ever seen?!?! The shot above is my favorite! Why? Look at here left hand, how she has it resting on her hip, how cute is that!

When I shoot young ones like this it really makes me want to have a baby myself! But then I go home and realize how busy I am and I change my mind. In April though……We of course had to get big Sister in a few of these shots. They were laughing and playing I was lucky to get this shot with them BOTH looking and smilling!

I love shooting babies in their cribs, this is the one place that almost always has excellent light, great colored wood, and of course its the most comfortable. Look at her expression…..wow! Simply adorable.Molly’s 1st sprinkler experience. I feel honored to have been able to capture this moment.

Portraits of the Cutest Baby in the World!!

So this here is my little cousin, her name is Summer. She was such a joy to shoot and man how she has grown!! We are doing a series of sessions for her and this is the third in the series. Curious?? Here’s how it works:

Get Pregnant-we do a maternity session
Have Baby-we do a newborn session
Baby Rolls Over-we do a 3 month session
Baby Crawls-we do a 6 month session
Baby Walks-we do a 9 month session
Baby Talks-we do a 1 year session

That’s 6 sessions all rolled into one package at one cost. Best of all each session includes a print credit and digital negatives!!

So 2008 is over and what a great year it was! I have learned, laughed, loved and shot alot!! I had 11 weddings last year and they were all fabulous! Thank you to all my wonderful clients for giving me the oppurtunity to work with you. I have compiled some of my favorite shots of the year so enjoy!
