Meet Shelby. She is funny, beautiful, smart and quite a good model! As it turns out she’s the girlfriend of one of my great friends from high school! Such a small world huh?!? So she calls me up one day and tells me that she would like me to do her Senior Portraits and she would like to do 2 separate sessions! So of course right off the bat I am really excited (I LOVE it when people actually WANT to be in front of my camera:)) Anyway we had a great time doing her 1st session! We’re going to wait until fall to do the next session so that we can get some gorgeous fall colors, I can’t wait! We started at yup you guessed it Namaqua Park, then headed off to the old fairgrounds. I have been shooting at these two locations alot lately and I don’t think I’ll every tire of them because there is sooo much variety! Anyhow enough of my babbling here are my favs!

I absolutely LOVE the pink top! It makes the whole photo pop don’t you think?

I went with an “antique tone” on this one, it just seemed perfect.

I have shot in this tree several times and this is my favorite shot in it to date! The angles, colors and texture to me are amazing! And of course Shelby’s amazing too:)

Shelby and I both share a love for feet and shoes! I don’t what it is about photographing them but I love it! Isn’t here tattoo cute!!

I really really want to lay a bride in her gown on that waterfall someday!

This next image is my all time favorite Senior Portrait. The bridge, lighting, bokeh and Shelby’s expression are simply perfect!

My Senior Rep, Ana…….amazing!

So Ana goes to Mountain View High School here in Loveland Co, and contacted me one day to see if I would be interested in advertising with the school year book. I most definetly was and asked her if she would like to be one of my Official Senior Representatives, she said yes and wow was her session fun!! We started at Namaqua Park in Loveland (which is of course my favorite place to shoot!) then moved on to the fairgrounds. Several outfits later we wrapped up and man did we get some fantastic shots! I had a blast during Ana’s session thanks for being an awesome model! Here’s my favorites from the day…….enjoy!

And last but certainly not least Ana wanted to play in the river. I love this waterfall because it is safe, there is a flat platform in the water that you can just stand on. Love it!

Latest Male Senior Session

I am so happy with the results of my latest senior portrait session! I find it harder to pose males, but this time I think that I overcame that. I am really diggin this new location that I happened to come across, the old sugar beet factory in downtown Loveland, there is such a variety of backgrounds there! Colton you did a great job, thank you! Congratulations on your graduation! Here are a few of my favorites enjoy!

It’s Senior time wohoo!! Other than wedding season this is my favorite time of year because I love shooting senior portraits!

Tips for a great senior session:

Get a good night of rest the night before your session
Drink plenty of water the day of your session
Do not pluck your eyebrows the day of your session
Practice smiling and not smiling in the mirror
Bring personal items to your session
Sit and stand up straight during your session
Either no polish or a fresh manicure/pedicure
Keep your attire simple nothing too busy
Plan on getting a little dirty

and most of all…..

relax and have fun!!
