Hola Everyone I’m back! I warn you now this post is rather long:))
WOW there are no words to express what an amazing time we had, Mexico is my new favorite place! For those of you who have been to a resort in Mexico you might know what I am talking about but for those of you who haven’t I’m going to show you:)
Dominic and I were invited to join our friends Brandon and Krista for their Mexico wedding where we had the priveledge of staying at the Barcelo Colonial/Tropical Resort in Riviera Maya Mexico. The Barcelo Resort is a total of 5 different hotels all grouped together with the beach on one side and the jungle on the other. From the pools and restaraunts to the ocean and the jungle, this resort was simply stunning!
Not only were we invited to share such a special time in our friends lives I was also asked to photograph their wedding day! It was an honor and a pleasure to be there THANK YOU Brandon and Krista for giving me the oppurtunity to capture your once in a lifetime memories!!
Now I know your thinking okay already show me the Mexico pictures, so here we go:) This first set of images is a teaser from Brandon and Krista’s Beach Front Wedding, enjoy and leave a comment if you like!
Such a beauriful bride to be!
So the ceremony was supposed to be right on the beach but since the weather was not cooperating Brandon and Krista decided to have the ceremony underneath this little hut instead. Let me tell you I am very glad that it worked out this way! Later in the week Dominic and I saw a wedding take place right on the beach and it was soooo crowded with other people:(( This way was so much more romantic, sucluded and special I thought, and since the rain quit we got the whole beach to ourselves for photos!
I have to say that this is the best jumping shot I have ever taken!! Great job guys!
Poor Brandon I am so glad you didn’t fall right there! Yes he was about to fall but maybe it was because his darling wife looks just so beautiful:)
Mexian water nooo!!!! 🙂 For each place setting at the reception Brandon and Krista provided everyone with their own engraved shot glass fill with, yes you guessed it, tequila. Very cute and easy to do favor!
And of course they danced the night away!
Brandon and Krista thank you guys again for inviting us to share this wonderful expierence with you!! We had a wonderful time!
This next set is photos that I took throughout our entire stay. My camera was literally glued to my eyeball almost the entire time we were there!I am quite impressed with the images I captured although it just makes me want to turn around and go right back!
The Mayan Ruins were amazing! It is so incredible that these structures are still standing after 5000 years!
This is my favorite I think! Because of Sea Turtles this beach was closed:( No we didn’t get to see any it’s just where they live.
Yes that’s an Iguana. They were everywhere, in Tulum at the Mayan Ruins we saw about 20 of them!
I had to have the first person I saw take a pic of Dominic and I at this place! It is so breathtaking!
Who knew our resort had it’s own shopping mall?? I wish we would have know before we went to Playa Del Carmen becuase our hotel had most of the same stuff for cheaper! Ah well both were fun.
Our pool at sunrise. Doesn’t get much better than this:)
The maids were awesome! Each day they made us a different creation of some sort out of towels, how cute is that?! Such a nice gesture. I was really impressed with the service and hospitality while in Mexico, everyone was sooo nice and polite, it was wonderful!
All I wanted was to lay in a hammoch on the beach and they didn’t have one, only by the pool:( Oh well one should be too picky huh!?:)This was the inside of our hotel building. The landscaping here was so maticously kept up on that I couldn’t believe it! At any given time there were probably at least 30 people working with the land and it definetly showed!
And of course the poolside bar, that we didn’t get to sit at:( We could have but it just wasn’t ever warm enough especially since the pool wasn’t heated. But isn’t it just too cute with the little stools!
I know where are the Coronas! They didn’t serve bottles anywhere so I just did without.
This is absolutely my favorite shot of me and the hubby!! We were shooting the sunset together and I just love it!
I’m a sap:) It’s cute though!
The only day we really got to Beach It was this day. It was about 78 degrees and beautiful, the beach was pretty packed, but still very enjoyable!
I’m so excited about all the shells and corral I found! I’m going to make a jar with sand and shells and give them to both my mom and my mother in law.
I love the lines in this image!
No we didn’t build it:) It came out really cool though huh!
We played mini golf in the jungle and they had this beautiful open Senote (basically a pond) right in the middle. We got down close and you could see catfish and what looked like minnos.
This last set of images were provided to us when we did the Tulum Extreme Tour. I didn’t take them but I edited them. Tulum Extreme was an all day tour offered by Apple Vacations which was awesome! We started at 7:30am and finished at 3m. First we went out into the middle of no where in the jungle and repelled, zip lined, and snorkled in an underground Senote. Then we had luch which btw was amazing, and finally we went to Tulum and saw the Mayan Ruins.
I was a wee bit scared for this but turned out to be really cool!
She told me to do the Mexican pose lol.
For the zip lining we were 60 feet in the air going about 30 MPH! I still can not believe that the hubby actually did it! He is usually a very cautious person, I’m proud of you babe!
Yup she told Dom the same thing lol.
And of course the best part of the whole day was the underground Senote snorkeling! I have to say that it took me a little bit to get used to the snorkeling equipment because I am so clausterphobic, I almost had a panic attack! But once I calmed down and relaxed it was the coolest thing I have ever done! I want to go back right now!!
So that’s it! I hope you enjoyed looking at our vacation, it was a blast! If you haven’t ever done anything like this I highly recommend it!
If you’re planning a destination wedding and are looking for your very own personal photographer for your trip look no more! I’m offering some pretty awesome rates for these types of events.
And of course there will be lots more photos to come of Brandon and Krista’s wedding so stay tuned!
